Repairing a Globe knife cover is described in detail below.

Things to remember when repairing a knife cover:	Is your cover lifting above the blade, as it appears here?
The underside of the cover usually doesn't look too bad at first glance.	You might start to see lifting.
This is what the cover looks like upon separation of the stainless cover on the left, and aluminum cover on the right.	The result of years of soaking the cover or running through a dishwasher.
Cover should be clean and tight, with no lifting.	Cover should fit even with edge of the blade as shown.
